Marisa Nelson, born and raised in Zillah, Washington, is a Central Washington University graduate with a Bachelors of Arts in Dance and a minor in Business. Areas of study include Jazz, Modern, Ballet, Pointe, Hip Hop, Tap, and Pilates, along with Folk and Ballroom. Growing up as a competitive dancer, Marisa has the hunger to achieve greatness and give her all on the stage. Marisa has been teaching dance since the age of sixteen in the styles of Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, and Ballet. Along with teaching, Marisa has coached several different competition soloists and teams who have gone on to win high overall scores regionally and nationally. Within her first year at Central Washington University, Marisa joined the performing company, Orchesis, and fell in love with concert dance. So much so that she attended the Contemporary Summer Study program at Steps on Broadway to broaden her concert dance network and skills.You are sure to find Marisa in the studio working on her craft or on stage living life.
